Bringing Amazing Futures to Everyday People
Our Story
The Business Advice Hub was created because starting and growing a business should not feel confusing, overwhelming, or reserved for a select few.
Every day, people have ideas. Ideas for businesses that could support their families, help their communities, or simply give them a different way of working and living. But most people never start.
The truth is that most successful businesses did not begin with huge investments, perfect strategies, or people who had everything figured out.
They began with ordinary people who decided to take a step forward.
The Business Advice Hub was built to make that step easier.
Inside our entrepreneur and small business community, you’ll find knowledge, tools, workshops and a community of thinkers who are all moving forward in their own way.
No matter what your business idea is, The Hub can support your dream forward.
Meet the Co-Founders
Two founders who believe the right knowledge, tools and community can change what is possible for small business owners.
I started my first business when my eldest child was just nine months old. I realised very quickly that there was no way I wanted to leave her and return to a traditional job. So together with another mum, I started a magazine called BonkersaboutBabies. We launched the business without investing a penny. Just two laptops, a couple of mobile phones, and a lot of determination.
My Why
To gain true financial freedom for myself and my family by helping others achieve the same for themselves and their families.
Cressida
My businesses have allowed me to be present for my children in a way that a traditional career never would have. I did not miss a single sports day, nativity play, or school event. School holidays were spent making memories, going on adventures, and supporting my children in everything they wanted to try. Swimming lessons, horse riding, musical theatre, martial arts and cricket.
What began as one magazine quickly grew into five. We even created a yearly baby show. The truth is we had never done anything like it before. I had a natural flair for sales and Karen was brilliant at graphic design, but neither of us really knew how to run a business. And the advice we found online or in books often felt confusing and contradictory. That experience was life changing, because I realised how many people could build a different life for themselves in a small business community if the right support and information was easier to find.
Now my children are older and I am on my third and fourth businesses. I am able to support them through big milestones too. First cars, university, and some incredible family trips. All of this came from deciding to start a business and refusing to give up. That is why The Business Advice Hub exists. Because I know how different life can look when someone takes that step.

I have always been someone who looks for possibilities. Ideas for businesses. Ideas for building communities. Ideas for turning something small into something meaningful. But my path into business was not a straightforward one. I was the first person in my family to go to university. Growing up, stability was not always something I could rely on.
My Why
To make business knowledge, tools and support easier to access so more people can build opportunities for themselves and their families.
Connie
Like many people, I had to work things out as I went along and build my own path step by step – my career, my stability, and eventually my own family.
That experience shaped the way I see opportunity. Because when you do not come from a background where business knowledge is easily accessible, it can feel like the rules of the game were written for someone else. Over time I built my career in marketing, business development and digital strategy, working with agencies and supporting hundreds of businesses across different industries. From startups and small local businesses to organisations trying to scale or rethink their direction. And something became very clear.
Many people have brilliant ideas for businesses. Many people are naturally entrepreneurial. But they are often held back by a gap in knowledge, confidence, or technology. Not because they lack ability. But because the practical steps are not always explained in a way that makes sense. I have spent years helping businesses navigate that gap. Breaking complex ideas down into clear steps. Building marketing systems that help businesses grow. Using technology and digital tools to make opportunities more accessible.
That journey taught me something important. Ambition and good ideas are everywhere, but clear knowledge and support are not… until now. The Hub offers a small business community that makes a difference.

A Small Business Community
The Hub is not just about knowledge and tools. It is about the people. A small business community that offers workshops, tools, and guides to build or grow a business.
Some people arrive with an idea they want to explore. Others are already running businesses and looking for ways to grow. And some are taking a step back to reset and move forward in a different way.
What connects them is a belief that progress comes from learning, taking action and sharing the journey with others who understand what it takes to build something of your own.
More people could start a small business if they had the knowledge, tools and support behind them.
